International Physiotherapy Internships in Vietnam

Physiotherapy in Vietnam Skilled physical therapists and access to basic physiotherapy treatment are limited in Vietnam. Whether you are an enthusiastic student hoping to become a physical therapist or already training or qualified, as a physiotherapy intern you’ll provide valuable support at a specialist clinic or health center.

You will work alongside a local physical therapist and depending on your experience you may be given groups of children or adults to work with independently. You may even be asked to work with your own individual patients and could spend some time passing on your skills to your colleagues.

Interning Abroad in Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy interns work in a variety of placements in Vietnam. You could be based in a clinic in Hanoi that specializes in the early diagnosis and rehabilitation of autism, downs syndrome, and cerebral palsy.

Interns may also work on an international reconciliation project that cares for disabled children and adults who suffer from the legacy of the Vietnam War. This project offers therapeutic and practical help for mentally and physically disabled children as well as their educational training and medical care. Adults who suffer from the consequences of war also get a variety of help.

You’ll go home safe in the knowledge that you’ve made a real and lasting contribution to one of these projects and the people it serves. This program is also a chance to improve your resume, offering practical experience that may be difficult to get at home while helping the children and adults you are working with abroad.
